Hi all,
Last time I used the jerry's was when we went across the Simpson and that was a couple of years ago. Should I rinse them out? If so, what with?
Or..........can I just use them again? They look clean inside.!
They are a good quality jery and have only hd diesel in them.
Thanks for your advice.
Cheers,
Pete and Tracey

A thorough washout with clean petrol will removed anything that is in there.then let them dry out with the lids open for a while, they should be fine, cheers.

If no
water has been introduced to cause rusting, no rinsing should be required.
If they look clean inside, just use them again.
I just stick the Tanami Pump in and push out whatever is in there by low air pressure.
Perhaps the occasional "tip upside down and any solids will fall out" practise is wothwhile.
I have had my jerries for some years but they still look sound on the inside.
Used them for petrol until now but have just changed over to an "oiler" so will simply fill them with diesel fuel from now on.
Bill.
