Totally agree.

Maybe their cars are in bad nick and the doors need slamming to work!! Pity they don't look after them. Is the IQ so low that they only know the door is shut when they hear the bang!

Have you ever travelled on trains and noticed how the staff always slam door. I think I can understand the outer doors (maybe). But internal ones. You have to laugh!!Well at 2AM, not really. I was thinking of the ghan and IP mainly.

It's not just those Wicked vans but all vans with a sliding door. I park well away from them.

Ah yes, those damn sliding van doors that haven't seen maintenance to the rollers and runners ever......and they open & shut them constantly....PITA

Another one is the bloke that fires up the diesel at sparrow fart in camp, or next door in the van park, and let's it idle for 10 minutes before he drives out.

Trouble is they don't seem to consider, or care, about other campers.

Most of those Wicked vans are driven by naked swedish back-packers, so maybe you could extract your revenge on them in some other, more pleasurable manner.... hahahahaha .... Oh, hang on, I just remembered your over-the-hill and not up to that sort of horizontal-mumbo activity these days.... hahahaha... Say g'day to Lyn from us and hope the rest of the trip goes well.

There shouldn't be too many of those wicked vans where you're going in the coming weeks.

Although I'm sure there are plenty of inconsiderate van drivers around have you ever tried to quietly close a sliding door? By their design many need to be slammed or they wont latch fully. The backpackers do know how to have a good time though & often forget where they are :-)

We got woken up at Kakadu one night by a group of them - I went and yelled at them - they soon shut up, I am not someone to mess with in the late hours

We have a couple of nearly new Hiace buses, and yes you have to slam the sliding door to make sure it shuts completely.

German and American people have always slamed thier doors....

99.99999% of the backpackers are kids under 22 winding down after a busy education....they wont even remember you yelling at them...

wizz-bangs, the name those that cant afford to stay in "proper luxury" give those that cant afford to stay in a winnie....

Given the choice between hearing a door opening & closing,
or hearing someone complaining about said door opening & closing....

I'll choose the former, any (and every) day (or night) of the week!
