Springsure Camping show, is it on this weekend?

There is a 4x4 camping show at Wauchope on this weekend. Dont know about Springsure.

Guns & 4WD's - there's an association we don't need right now!

Which reminds me of a little story (sorry). Nightitme in Talbotville and the otherwise quiet "good ole boys' on the other side of the flats decide to wake up the entire camp by doing circle work in their hilux while discharging firearms out the windows only meters from where we were sleeping. I kid you not.

Our tour leader drove up towards Dargo until he had reception on the HF and managed to get through to the police who actually considered sending in a tactical response group (rather than waking up the local) or some such, but after being assured that the boys had now retired back to bed drunk they agreed to leave it to the morning. As we left the next morning having phoned number plates through the police were aparantly on their way in to collect them.

Hi Boo Boo,

We were living in Springsure this time last year and it was the inalgural show.
It wasn't a patch on an established show however it was free and still had a suprising variety from 4wd shops, clubs, camper trailers, guns and blowup stuff for the kiddies. They even had a free tagalong to the top of the mountain for the tourists. Food as well.
Was supposed to be bigger this year.
