I am in Perth and I am thinking of buying a used soft floor camper trailer from the East so any recommendations on quality ones for me to research a bit further and try to locate a good used camper. The supply of better used ones here appears to be presently limited.......Peter

I have a Tambo Cooper, fairly basic soft floor camper - but very strong and I am very happy with it.

I think you will find a few others here that would recommend Tambo too.

Tambo Campers

Campers are a pretty personal thing - every one seems to want something a little different.

I was after something reasonably basic - its for camping after all!.. The Tambo was perfect for my needs.

If you wanted lots more - they do have plenty of extra options too. And their after sales service is first class.

Yes another Tambo fan, basic/indestructible/practical.

Peter

We have a Trackabout from Brisbane which we have been extremely happy with. Bought 5 years ago now. We were also originally looking for something second hand and I was unable to find anything. I came across the Trackabout and bought it new for not a lot more than I would have paid for something used.

I guess it really depends on what features you are looking for in your camper as to which company / model you would like. There are so many on the market now with so many options, its getting harder to choose.

Ours has done everything for us, including last year the Gunbarrel, Tanami and Kimberley and it didnt miss a beat the whole time.

why go over East, we have a good quality camper made here in WA. Down Under Camper Trailers, bought off ebay, sold the caravan and it has been excellant for a family of 4. they dont advertise much but really well made. (Down Under Campers)

I think you just have to be patient.

try hiring some and seeing what you like and dont like, we were in Cervantes and a couple near us had hired a camper, it had no wind protection over the kitchen, nice sea breeze came in and no cooking happened.

another camper is C and M campers in Kellerberrin, they hire as well, if you like then you can buy. they make a double decker one. cm-campers.com.au

keep checking papers, web sites etc
