G Day all..
So after a big day of Mark G and Hairs playing with my pajero, I am continuing on my way in the morning and going to head to Tamworth and hole up there for the night I think. Unless I feel fine to want to drive longer, then I'll find somewhere else to rest for the night further down the road. EO stickers are on the vehicle and the wheel cover is in place (wonder if it will get flogged.....) so keep a look out for me if you are in the vicinity. I won't bite. Have the internet with me as I travel.

G'day Axle..
Well they picked up where the mechanic stopped.
Done all the front and rear diff oils, gear box, replaced the trailing arm bushes.. (which turned out to not be an easy task), put a spanner to here and there...
She is now the top dog again. Gotta be happy with that.
They did an awesome job, especially Hairs who saw that diff oil is good to drink and polish your car with...

Hairs doing what he always does.. drink anything in sight...

the bushes had to be drilled out as they were stuck in there. Even with the press, they wouldn't budge and the whole arm was flexing.

Goldie actually doing something useful.

It was a good day and their generosity to finish off the work the mechanic didn't do was great. The strange thing is, you can actually trust these two buggers with your vehicle....

hahahaha....from what I've read about Hairs and Goldie's workmanship, you've been lucky to get as far as you have on this trip.

You'd better check the wheel nuts and make sure they remembered to change the air in the tyres too...... Soooo many mechanics neglect this vital bit of servicing.. They seem to forget that air loses it's ability to do "airy" type things after it's been inside a tyre for over 10,000klm and it MUST be changed or your wheel will fall off.... ;-)

I hope you continue to have a safe and interesting trip Jo. Too bad you couldn't find a BIG truck to take for a run with your new licence.....then you'd have the upper hand in places like Penriff...hahahaha

Jo,
watch out for your wheel cover in Tamworth, one went missing there not long ago if I remember.

As for Penriff, well even Stefan had some stuff go missing from there a couple of weeks ago. Maybe only put the cover on during the day while you are in the car, LOL
Cheers Colin.

Gday Jo
Nice to see the Paj is in good shape, Stefan's is just about sorted out now so we may get to see what they (paj's) can really do, hoping that Hairs & Goldie did a good job????

Looking forward to the EO gathering in your honour on the 23rd.

Colin.

The difference with new trailing arm bushes is noticable big time...and the gear box oil... There is a long story to that, but suffice to say... I am loving my gear box now. Have just pulled in to Grafton, and will leave shortly to head to Tamworth via Armidale Road.
