Our three months is nearly up and its soon time to catch the boat back to Tassie.
We have covered 12000kms so far (at Mildura ATM) and had a good run.I wont say no problems until home......
The cruiser has gone great with the turbo, never lacking power anytime is great. It makes for more relaxed driving.
We have been to some great places-Mungo, Kinchega, Sturt, Gregory, Lawn hill, Keep, Witjira, Gammon Ranges National parks.Other places include- Camerons corner, Bore trk, Innamincka, Coongie Lakes, Birdsville, Big Red, The Gulf, Lorella Springs, Kununurra, Tanami Trk(3rd time), Chambers Pillar, Dalhousie Springs, Oodnadatta Trk(3rd time), Peake Ruins to name a few.
We have about 8 days worth of camping with friends in Vic before heading to Melb for last few days.
Met quite a few E.O members but forgotten most names.
Highlights would be Coongie Lakes and Chambers Pillar, both magical places.
Leaving Chambers Pillar and heading towards Finke, the road is a shocker, worst patch we've ever driven on.We drove it a few years ago and it was bad, but this time it was worse. It shook the brakes apart in the trailer and locked a wheel up which required gutting the brakes out(and dropping a wheel bearing in the sand.......)
All great memorys and to all we saw out there, good on you for doing it...not just talking about it.

That camps map has yet to be updated for this trip so there are about 70 odd more camps to go on it....

Hi Nick,
Where abouts in Tassie are from. We catch the boat over on the 12 Sept after 2 1/2 yrs on the road. Will be looking for somewhere south of Hobart to settle for a while. Will drop in in to say hi if we get the chance. Love the map with your camp spots on it. If we catch up maybe you could show me how you do it, I'm not very good with computers. You've seen places we never got to be that has left us places to visit on our next lap LOL. Looks like you had a ball.

We will be in Deloraine around the 6-13 Oct. I'm working in Woolworths for the week there. We are planning on being in Tassie for a few years so it would be good to have a chat about good spots for 4wding and if you are into fishing any good fishing spots. We had a bit of look around Mole creek area the first time we were in Tassie. We came over from MT Roland which was a great drive.
