Does that model have an adjustable squelch knob?? Some of the uniden have a set squelch that is part of the transmit button, you hold it for 3 secs and it either locks or unlocks the squelch... its at the bottom of the transmit button... Michael

Hi Zacc..
Are you using these radios in any 'extreme' conditions?
I had a similar problem a few weeks ago at the snow... we had 4 of these UH065s in use (plus two heavy duty Vertexs...)
Three of the unidens sat inside ski jackets where it was warm and another sat in the outer pocket. All had speaker/mics attached.
After about 4 hours, the one that was sitting in the "outside pocket" was constantly "busy" and other transmissions werent being received unless the signal strength was very strong.... The transmit button was still working and everyone else could receive those... The settings on all four were the same, but the other 3 seemed to work fine...
Once we got it back into the apartment where it was warm, it seemed to function normally again without having to adjust anything.
It behaved exactly the same the next day, so the only thing I was able to put it down to was the exposure to the cold temperatures... so it could possibly be an environmental thing.....
