Hi Everyone,

NEW TRIPS, NEW SEASON & NEW  ‘MYSTERY’ 4WD!
Pat Callinan’s 4X4 Adventures is set for another cracking season, with filming due to start next week.

The destinations have been finalized, and are dead-set tantalizing to the four-wheel driver. The first trip has a bit of everything, from the world’s whitest sand around Esperance, to the world’s reddest dirt near Kalgoorlie!
The expedition then heads north to film two whole episodes on the mighty Canning Stock Route! 2000 kilometres and 23 days over some of Australia’s most remote, and roughest 4WD tracks. It’s one of the few times that a professional film crew has been unleashed on the entire length of the Canning, meaning the images will be savoured by four-wheelers for years to come.
The crew then heads down the Tanami Track to the Red Centre, visiting icons like Kings Canyon and Palm Valley. Then it’s off to the majestic Barrington Tops on the Great Divide, followed by Tasmania.

This year, the new one hour format is sure to appeal, and with a prime-time slot on ONE HD plus another Sunday afternoon airing on TEN, more people will be watching than ever.

Pat will also be changing the vehicle he’ll be driving, and this announcement will be made next week once the new contracts are in place. But let’s just say that the remote tracks won’t give these rigs any trouble!

ExplorOz-Official Online Partner to Pat's show.
www.exploroz.com will be partnering up for both the filming and airing of the series. As well as sales of DVD’s, Box sets and book series.

Cheers for now.

Trevor

Robyn was two weeks off (we where going on a caravan trip) for the TLC, and I'm sure she will have had enough of me by then.. LOL.

They are not going to cement it in so it will be on crutches for over two months,, :-(((

Mark,

How exciting. Good luck with the adventures and I for one can't wait for the updates and the show when I can see it.

Good on all parties for recognising the potential of such a partnership too.

Cheers, Trevor.

Hi,

Thanks for the positive feedback.

Yeah we're expecting a better go time wise for viewers as apartently with it now being an hour scheduling should be easier than in the 1/2hour format. The show will be airing on ONE-HD twice in Nov/Dec and then on TEN in Jan/Feb also regionally on the Southern Cross network too.

We're going be doing regular updates... That's if Pat's Sat phone doesn't turn into a footy for his two boys. Or a cricket bat..... Just woke up early to watch the ashes and have seen the score, maybe Pat's kids would have scored more than our lads did over in England. Sorry off topic.

Don't forget to join Pat on twitter/facebook as well as keep an eye out here at ExlporOz.

Cheers big ears!

I'm very reliably informed he'll be enjoying the comforts of a Nissan Patrol...

Nice.

Hope they also bring back the trek notes which were originally done by Nissan and Overlander I think.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for all the feedback... All we need now is for Pat to turn on the SPOT and we'll all know where he is.

For those of you in WA he'll be around Esperence and Kalgoorlie for a few more days before hitting the canning!

As to the vehicles yes Tim you take the first prize award! What ever that is...

Cheers,

Mark Barney Muras

PS Thank goodness filming has started. Oh the planning and logisitics...

PPS As to the trek notes jump on Board Twitter/Facebook and fire away with that good idea. Can't promise anything though.(By the way is it PPS or PSS?)

former head hitter on Australian 4wd monthly and brave pioneer of new tv series that was aired according to TV bods' whim (sporadically) last year.

It was good though so looking forward to this.
