HELP ME!!!!!

I am off to Coral Bay / Exmouth and have been looking at places to stay and I have not been up that way before.
So now is the time all you grey nomads from Down south to give all that good advise because I am sick of the weather down here and ready to hit the road.

I will be camping so a caravan park would do me just fine let us know were you think is the place to stay CHEEERS

We stayed at Nigaloo Caravan & Holiday Resort Its on the left opposite the Visitors Centre.

Is a large park and things are busy up there so a booking would be advised.

To me Coral Bay was not good as we dont Swim or snorkel and theres not much else to do The second park was the nicer of the two but was busy as well.

Denham is the pick of the west coast in that area by far.
Good scenery. lots of places to go. We wangled a trip in a catamaran and a troopy for the day Was absolutely marvelous

Steep point if you like 200k of rough road Cape Peron is a nice trip 50k of sand but worth it.

Camping allowed near the top

Hamelin is worth visiting and has a van park.

EDIT

The day trip was to Steep Point to avoid the bad road.

Saw lots of whales from the cliffs as they were in really close.

Also a small bay full of baby sharks, like over 100.

Wished we could have stayed another week but forward bookings prevented this.

Cheers

Hi Johnny,

The caravan parks at Coral Bay are Ok, but avoid school hols. Also, week before and week after school hols. Very Busy.

Port Smith, just south of Exmouth is a good spot. Small caravan park, great fishing, OK for a couple of days.

Is this a different Port Smith to the one 140km south of Broome where the

sandflies eat the large people on the spot and carry the smaller ones away.

The only other camp I remember seeing on that road was Giralia station

about half way between Coral Bay and Exmouth.

The name of the second van park in Coral Bay is Peoples park. right next to the other one.

Quobba is another nice place and not so far as Exmouth.

Had a marvelous day there watching whales and the helium balloon fishermen on the cliffs .

They caught some nice fish as well.

Blowhole is spectacular as is the view from the lighthouse.

Camp at Quobba only 6 k of gravel in pretty good order.

I stayed at Yardie Creek Homestead...about 30k out of Exmouth....but it is therefor closer to Ningaloo reef and the Cape Range National Park. Plenty of fishing snorkelling and relaxing.

It was cheaper than town and very peaceful.
