We are getting new magnets and arms sent to us and need someone to fit these, and probably also shave the drums due to uneven wear.

Any ideas?

Hi Mother Hen, I had a need to talk to the garage / auto electrician at the Mt Isa end of town (Winton) last year and found the guy very knowledgeable and he did not try to bs me in anyway (I knew what my vehicle electrical problem was but I did not say so). He's been around a fair while and I think he does all the automobile association recovery work.

Thanks KK, do you know the trading name at all? I checked the RACQ website and their agent is Slade and Sons Smash Repairs, and doesn't seem to be in the right direction.

Sorry, can't remember the name. Right up at the end of the commercial area on right heading towards Mt Isa. Not far back from the caravan park and opposite the hotel. Large building, with shop front and workshop in the back (entry down the side). The guy was originally recommended to me by the other caravan park staff (up by the railway line and across the road from the truck stop). I passed by the garage on my way into town in June this year so they are still operating.

Hi Motherhen,

I had work done on my GQ in Longreach in 2007 at O'Briens Garage, in Swann Street. Can't speak highly enough of them from my experience then. I put a thread up here on it, Click Here

I am sure they will be able to help you. Let us know how you get on.

Cheers
