SWMBO has decided to buy a van

The CT is great and has been everywhere we have wanted to go, but, as we are going to be doing the trip around the block next year and it looks like a caravan is on the list of things to get.
Has anyone got any comments , good or bad, on the Retreat Stradbroke?
Thanks
Vince

Hi Vince,
Good on her I can only agree with her. Cant comment on the van much but friends of ours have just bought a second hand retreat Lindeman and it spent a few weeks outside our place as they had no where to keep it. It looked really good. So hope that helps

Thanks Barb. I think it has something to do with the shower / toilet & washer that is avaibale in the van. How am I going to run these on my solar panels ?

Vince,
The shower and toilet was the thing that impressed me it was a full fibrglass unit so it looked like it would not leak but they did decide to put a shower curtain atround the shower so the toilet wouldnt get wet. I hope you have a wonderful time I wish it was us BUT we have to work for a bit longer yet

G'day Vince,

just to let you know, we caved in the year after we spent New Year with you at Cangai Bridge. We ordered a Kedron van, waited 12 months to take delivery and lived in the CT in the meantime.

I have to say that I've "gone soft" and much prefer the van. Good luck with your intended purchase. One tip, get as much solar power as you can possibly afford. We are finding that there are more and more places that won't allow gennies, not to mention how easy it is to be unpopular with your neighbours if you crank one up. We were able to add our solar panels to the 3 that came standard with the Kedron.

Cheers

No worries Russ, I did scratch my head for a few moments, thought old timers had a real hold on me.
