Hi muddyboots (love the name)

ARB have a lot of 4x4 accessories, I found these drawers on their site http://www.arb.com.au/products/general-accessories/milford-cargo-barriers/

Also check out your local 4x4 store they will also know of brands that will make them to suit your Subie.

Also worth looking up ebay

Another option is to make a wooden frame and buy plastic tubs to slide in holes created with your wooden frame. Either flat on floor so then you can stack on top. or the drawers can be upright 3 x 2 or 2 x 2 whatever suits.

Cheers tina

Where are you from muddyboots. There is All Terrain 4x4 in Moorabin (melbourne) who could help you out most likely. A lot cheaper than other top brands but very high quality. Ours has been travelling around oz for 2 1/2 years full of tools and still going strong.

Hi muddyboots

Give Jim a ring at Best Off Road (trader section).
He should be able to help you and ships all around Australia from his factory in Dandenong.
He's good to deal with as well as very competitively priced.

Cheers

Geoff,

I still owe you a copy of the High Country Trip notes. I'm trying to find the disc, and I will. Can you send me your email to my website, I've redone the website and all old emails have gone to God.

Regards,

Jim

MB,

We do the Forester. As it has no available floor mounting points it attaches to the luggage hooks in the back with turnbuckles; very easy to fit.

Cheers,

Jim.

I also have a Forester and wanted a storage shelf for the rear cargo area, but didn’t want to loose any width, so I bought some wire shelving (comes in various lengths and is L shaped) from Bunnings. I clamped it to the edge of the workbench with one piece of wood on top and used another piece to bend it up at 225mm. I used 25mm aluminium strap (which fits inside the existing factory bend) to attach the wire to a plywood top by screws and Nylok nuts.

I initially only made it as deep as the Waeco as I had stuff stored vertically against the back seat which I leave up but have subsequently made another small section to fit between. This piece was more of a challenge as the floor on the Subaru angles up and the bend needs to compensate to give you a flat surface on top, subsequently the front is 210 mm and the back is 225 mm.

This ended up giving me a storage area for all my little/loose stuff, pots & pans, Dutch oven, cutlery, crockery, chairs, etc. I have subsequently modified it with a couple of aluminium angles and now my table and gas cooker stand gets stored there as well. I tie this all down with webbing straps.
On top I have a couple of plastic drawers which are again strapped down with webbing. And on top of this my basin fits neatly with toilet paper, paper towels, dish washing stuff etc inside it.

check out "connect it":

$100 $150 will do a fair bit of storage for you. Just need a hammer to bang it together! Very light and very strong.
