SWMBO says "you should be watching this" ....

I missed a bit of the start but was VERY interested in what I did see. I would recommend that we all watch this show on the ABC.

You always learn something every day. NO WATER!! How about turning the air con on and catch the pure water dripping out of the outlet.

Well seeing how I'm the all or nothing type of person, I got the lot, This is an Excellent product and will fit our needs well, we have made a Survival back pack with a First aid kit, GPS, PLB, water and now the MKIII Survival Kit.
Getting the lot together is the way to go as it explains the how thing out and how to use it. Very Good.

Regards

I believe Legionaire's Disease manifests itself in the cooling towers in high rise buildings. What has that got to do with water produced by condensation?

I was going to leave my answer there, but considered it a weak education effort. A quick Google produced this ....

How do you get Legionnaires' disease?

Legionella bacteria are found naturally in the environment and thrive in warm water and warm damp places. They are commonly found in bodies of water, soil and potting mix.

People usually get Legionnaires' disease by breathing in Legionella bacteria in very fine droplets of water called aerosols.

Man-made water systems sometimes provide environments that let Legionella bacteria increase to large numbers. These man-made systems include showers, spa pools, fountains, and also cooling towers associated with air conditioning and industrial cooling processes.

The evaporative units sometimes used in home air conditioning units have not been known to cause Legionnaires' disease. You cannot catch Legionnaires' disease from another person, or from drinking water contaminated by Legionella bacteria.

..it has everything to do with the condensation, it forms in it......and i was just having a cross-over moment between dehydrating in the desert, then drinking the air-con runoff at the wrong time, then dying of legioneers diease, in a desert, like the french legioneers, are famous for desert combat...

In the recent humid Sydney summers we've been collecting several buckets full of clear water from the airconditioner - excellent for watering plants.

Legionella grows in the water that is stored for long periods in evaporative airconditioners, giving time for th ebacteria to grow.

Compressor airconditioners do not store any water.
