Wondering how many NSW members are going to Stockton for the 13th annual Stockton Beach clean up?

Sunday 25th October from 9AM to 1PM - Free BBQ at 1pm

Beach access is free and cleaning up this beach is a good cause and a good day out.

Were you camping there, or staying nearby? Are there any free camp spots near Anna Bay?

Was camping there - ( as per photo although its old ) camping is free , you just have to buy the beach permit ..... buy the 12 month one if your living close by ( ie 2 - 3 hours drive ) as you will find yourself visiting a lot more when you camp there - permit is about $30 a year - and you cant go wrong at that price..

you do need to bring your own toilet and take your rubbish out with you -- don't bury it as some clowns do as the sand moves a lot and it may be hidden this week but next week its fully exposed ...

we enter in VIA anna bay ( gan gan road - bribi beach entry )

and a sunset i took last year

Hi Tony,
I was going until a couple of weeks ago.

Now I'm in the "unfortunate" position of being on a plane to Vanuatu that morning,

Looks like I'll have the honour of misisng the first one since they began, lucky 13.

The sad thing is if being a moron had an appropriate punishment these sorts of days would be obsolete.

Hi Tony,
It's a bad position to be in but I'm sure I can handle it!

What part of Newcastle do you call home? I'm at Shortland.

Hi Tony
We have never been to Stockton Beach so this could be a good chance to go for a good day out and also for a good cause.

If the weather is reasonable we will try and make it.
My Quad bike is registered for Stockton so it also might be a good chance to use it there and for the cleanup.

Is there anything special that I need to know or bring? We will be coming from Sydney.

Regards
John

All the details for the day.

Access to the beach for the day is free. Sausage sizzle at 1pm and there are prizes, I suspect for the most rubbish collected.

Registration at Anna Bay Birubi Beach access. The main one at Lavis Lane Williamtown. (most of the Sydney people will access this one).

Some people may wish to arrive Saturday and camp over night.

Quad bike are restricted to the Southern most area where an RV section is set up.

Great place to spend a day and a worthwhile cause. Much of the beach debris is washed out of the Hunter River, some from the offshore ships waiting to dock in Newcastle but mush from beach users.

Like the poster says, Bring Gloves, Hats and sunscreen.

I will be at the Lavis lane enterance. See you there.

p.s. I do not work for the council or Parks.
