Lots of places, but what of the quality of the data inputed?

I quite religiously updated the places database up to about two years ago. Then I noticed that others who were doing updates didn't put quite the same effort in as I did.

So haven't bothered since.

Yes.. but with your good work the site will be better off in the long run , what we must not forget is that this site is www and that means the whole world has access to it, therefor a good quality of effort is needed , remember if you add 10 top quality photo's no one else can ruin that PLACE with poor quality photo's, so c'mon..... get your ass back into making it a great site.

He has a very valid point there Alan. Besides, who else goes to the places you do?!!!!Places and track updates. Alaways important.

Cheers Mick

To all

They are getting harder to work with tho. you but a new one up then when it's loaded there's twenty others of the same thing.
And for me anyway you make a mistake on where it is you cannot edit it, have to go through Damian. I but Alan's DC marker up once and it ended up in the ocean.. LOL

I haven't done it for a while.

Richard & Others,

If you want access to the place move tool you just need to ask - I can do this easily these days and you can then move places using the mapping system - also now the in map editing allows you to change all the text - if you have not seen this - go to places on the map open a place - click/search or whatever and then when the place info is shown in the RHS - click on the title or the more.. link and the place page will be displayed on the map - now you can click on the edit links and change the data quickly and easily without have to change to another page open any new windows - once updated simply close the info page and open up another place using the same method.
