Today I took some friends to a great fishing spot in Kakadu, ( invitation only spot).

This is a billabong where it is a fish per cast, today was catch and release as the traditional owners had plenty.

One of my friends moved about a 100 metres away and tried a new spot, within minutes he were told of a croc trying to catch a fish being caught and brought to the bank. The first time he missed, after being told we went and tried fishing next to him, Anja said I wonder if he will try again, seconds later -- bang -- a croc hiding under some Salvinia 2 1/2 metres away grabbed another fish being hauled in, this time the croc won.

We were behind some barriers, so we were never in danger. But this thing wasn't seen by 4 adults and it was pretty dam close.

Cheers Steve
