I have deep cycle battery in the rear of my vehicle with my fridge hooked up to it. i have a bad habit of letting the fridge run the battery flat. This in turn
ruins the battery over time. Is there a device that will cut the power from the battery when it drops to a certain voltage? If there is such a thing what voltage should it be set at?

You can buy a "make up kit" from Dick Smith for a low voltage cut out, set it to what voltage you wish it to cut out.
You also try Jaycar.

Chisel,
Thanks for that. Thats what I'm looking for and have already got a merit plug setup between fridge and battery so this should be able to slot inbetween.

Projecta have one that I bought from Kmart about 10 years ago for about $65.
Works really
well still with my 40 litre Engel .
Be aware that Engel do not have a big start up load like Danfoss compressor fridges, so if you do not have an Engel the cutout may work prematurely as the voltage drops low on startup.

The Projecta ones cost about $30 but Derek's is even cheaper.
He had a special going that I couldn't resist, selling them for $15 but his normal price is quite cheap as
well.

I'm sure your batteries wish a worse punishment on you, if you regularly discharge them to 10.5 - in fact they may run away from real soon.
