Not sure if this has been posted here before so appologies if it has.
It cetainly makes a mockery of our modern day "need" for a 4wd to do the same thing.
Personally I think the highlight of the whole video is the "no fear" jack russell !!

First time I have seen it..... amazing stuff. The jack russel wouldn't fit today's "political correctness". Wonder how many times they had to rescue him from really deadly situations. It's either no fear or no brains..... lol....!

The Stuart highway has had some maintenance since this video was taken... lol.

Just love the Jews Harp, or is that musical instrument politically incorrect these days, I wondered if it was 1946 era Ford V8 then it couldn't have been, where they had the distributor it would not have made it across the river.

G'day, looks like they are driving a 1948 straight 8 Buick 8/40 with coil springs allround, shocks never worked much as after you parked one it would continue to bounce up n down for a while after, aussiedingo

This is Keith Adams and his famous movie 'Northern Safari'. This is for sale in the ExplorOz shop. I have had it for ages and it is just great.

If you read up on Keith Adams he made this movie over several visits and put it together himself. He then showed it at community halls all over Australia and the world. A truly epic event and shows a true bush man at his best.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
Bring back a few memories when planning to leave the Old Dart in 73. We went to Australia House in London to register for the old "Ten Pound Trip". They showed this movie as an introduction before some guy in shorts and a sloush hat, stood up and explained to us, that, this was the outback of Australia and we would have to travel a fare way out of the major Cities to experience this. I can not remember his name but he look a bit like the man in the movie. After two weeks after my arrival I took a position as a Manager in outback NSW, based in Dubbo. 2500 Ks a week on the road, North/South - East/West.
This really set my appetite to get out and see this great country. Thanks for the memory's.

"It cetainly makes a mockery of our modern day "need" for a 4wd to do the same thing".

Why? 4WD is a lot safer and would do it easier
