Hi I have just brought my 1st Caravan (New) and was wondering if anyone could suggest how I get rid of the fiberglass resin smell of the shower.
Thanks Kevy

Kev,
the smell will go in time, so enjoy it while it lasts. LOL cause it means it is still new.

Only those bloody awfull artifical smelling products will reduce it.

Have a good one and pretend it is a brand new yacht.

It will soon be replaced with the smell of toilet chemicals, try drain the toilet when not in use. This stops the smell and also stops the chemicals going off and making a gel.

Regards

Note: I am talking about the fresh water toilet chemical tank not the waste tank. The waste tank should always be kept clean.

Hi everything is brand new as it's a brand new caravan, the toilet is still new and has not been used and is separate from the shower.
It's mainly the fibreglass smell of the shower walls.

Thanks Kevy

Hi Kevy,

You could try lemon juice or euchalyptus oil. Not sure if it will stain fibreglass so be careful.

It might work

Cheers Wilko

I'd be enjoying the smell while it lasts. It's like that 'new car' smell. Nothing quite like it but unfortunately it fades.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
I wish the smell was the new smell the same as the rest of the Caravan which I rather like, but unfortunately I really don't want to enjoy the chemical smell of the moulded fibreglass shower.
