Hi Ian,
To my knowlege you cannot add PDF's to threads, but they can be added to
blogs.
For images you will notice buttons at the bottom of the box when you are about to submit a new thread or reply to an existing one:
Image Could Not Be Found
Click on the insert image button.
This will bring up the following box:
Image Could Not Be Found
If the picture you want to put up is already on the web you can use you the first option. Just put the image address in there. To find this address, right click on the image and the address will be displayed somewhere. eg
http://www.blahblahblah.com - Then click insert
If you have the image you want to put up on your hard drive use the second option and select the location the image is stored in using the browse button. Then write a brief description of the image as
well and then click Load.
Where you are writing the thread the image will first appear not as an image but as a string such as "[f]/65306.875/Forum/Pic_175[/fi]"
Don't alter that string as it will corrupt the link to your image.
Then once you have previewed the thread or reply to thread using the Preview button, click submit.
Hope that helps somewhat!!!

Hi Ian,
if using large images, you neeed to reduce them in size down to 800x800 pixels first. Use a program such as Microsoft Picture Manager or similar to reduce size prior to submitting.
If you have microsoft Office you will find Picture Manager under "Microsoft Office", "Microsoft Office Tools", "Picture Manager". Vey handy program.

I just load the picture and let the process do the automatic size reduction.
It just takes a little longer to load but doesn't require any knowledge or experience with editing programs.
Bill.
