Took my camper into wonnangatta down the Zeka Spur track and out the Wombat track. A few steep sections but no problem. The Humphrey track is the easiest though.

Yep in via Buffalo River is the safer option.

As long as the weather is dry you will be fine.

Rhonda, you don't mention the type of tow vehicle or camper and the level of your experience so a useful answer is hard to give. The rush of responses saying it is ok should not be taken with too much faith as they have no idea of most of the vital elements of your question.

Sure many people are towing campers into all sorts of high country locations and it is a personal view that this is not something that should be encouraged on many of the tracks. Steep narrow climbs will see increasing conflict between travelers and despite what many 'experts' here think there are few places to pass and backing up or down is beyond the skills of many who are encouraged to tow.
It seems to me that with most 4WD vehicles being so capable the only 'challenge' now is to tow a trailer of some sort and tell everyone about it !

You hit on a couple of good points there Ken re individuals experience & there ability to negotiate steep tracks. What one person recomends being easy (As above), others could have alot of trouble. How wet it is, clearance/size/weight of the trailer or power of the tow vehicle can all be the deciding factors. Climbed up Zeka a couple of weeks ago in the wet & was in my experience too slippery then for towing a trailer but possibly would be OK today.
With the current conditions the drive in via the Wonnagatta track/East Buffalo is the easiest option.

I was coming back to the USA from Brisbane last weekend and I picked up Rachael Treasure's new novel "The Cattleman's Daughter" at the Airport and read it on the way home, A good read and based on the High Country around Wonnangatta and the cattlemen up there with the lock out.

Good read as I finished it just as we landed in Los Angeles.
