Yes, tomorrow i have to pull out my wallet and fill up the Patrol.. Its gonna hurt!! The company I have been with for the last 3 decades has been sold and moved to
Melbourne.
The last time i bought fuel was in January 1977, it was about 18cents a litre, but in those days there was permanent discounting in
Sydney at about 14 cents per litre. Once you got over the Blue Mountains or the same distance North or South, the discounting stopped and it was back to 18CPL.
Well I guess nothing lasts forever :)) Michael

spare a thought for all of us because we have been paying big time all along

My first job was a pump jockey in
Melbourne in late 77 early 78 and the price of fuel in our servo was 12 cpl, with drive way service.
The Shell over the road was 9.9 to 10 cpl but was one of the first self servs.
As a percentage of your income, fuel atm is probably close to the same as it was then.
BTW welcome back to reality.............

G/Day Michael
The company has been paying for 3 of our vehicles for several years also, even the lawn mower fuel, plus the rego and insurance, the only trouble is, we own the company lol lol.
Cheers

Ceduna.
Lots to look forward to AY.

LPG still less than $0.50 per litre and petrol still generally 10% cheaper than diesel.
That makes my old 4 litre petrol/LPG guzzler almost economical.
