For max economy 40 is best, but you get a hard ride, I prefer a compromise and run 35 on sealed roads, 28 on dirt and 20 off road. We have three Jacks in the family so have some experience.

Yes Madfisher is correct in his recommendations.

I previously owned a Jack and also used to run 35 psi on bitumen, 28 on dirt and dropped to 18 on sand.

What tyres are you running ? I had the very same chariot for 8 years with BFG AT's and ran approx. 42 psi rear and 38 front - down at least 25% when loaded up on gravel road trips. The higher figures will produce a harsh ride on bitumen, but if softened down, the shoulders wear too fast, leaving meat in the middle of the face.

While not disagreeing with anything said, I run 40 psi rear & 36 front in BFG A/ts
in my Jack, & never drop pressure, except for sand. Usually loaded, but rides OK on sealed roads empty anyway..........oldbaz.
