Wanting to upgrade from an Island Star bunk bed van to a Retreat Daydream with
toilet and shower. Anyone have any feedback about the build quality and finish on the Retreat vans ? Appreciate your advice as we have to travel a very long way to pick up the new one. Cheers, Barry.

Hi Barry,
You might get more feedback by asking your question on the Caravaner's
Forum web site. There a lots of vaners here but more on the CF.

H Barry we have a windsor genisus and we have shopped around and now have placed an order for the retreat daydream . The quality compared to current van is one of the reason we decided and along with the way that they have no problems fitting what you want in a van so I say go for it we did regards Alan.

Hi Barry,
We have Retreat Daydream 3 bunk van, we purchased it as it has EVERYTHING including oven/stove, fridge/freezer,
toilet shower and HEAPS of cupboard space(we sold the house to have this lifestyle). In the begininning we did have quite a few issues (we now figure it was built on a Friday arvo around 4pm) All these issues where sorted and we actually dealt with Retreat themselves a number of time (as they sell the warranty to Premium Warranties) and they bent over backwards to help us out. We have lived in our van now for over 12mths (full time with 3 kids) and even though we did have the issues we don't regret buying it.
Cheers
Caz

Retreat are not only building caravans, but also building themselves a good reputation for a quality and value. Steve Borg takes pride in all that he builds.
He migrated from a cabinet maker to production manager with Roadstar before starting Galaxy Caravans. After selling out to his partner at Galaxy he retired for a short time before accepting a position with Paramount to help them sort out a few production issues and was then persuaded to set up a new company building only larger style shower vans. Thus Retreat were born.
