Hi all, following Stephen Langman's plea (thread 74240) I've just had Damien post up my trip north of Soputhern Cross from late 2008.
I know a couple of you have also got plot files for this area so what about putting them up as
well. You don't have to write them up as a full blown EO trek. Just put up the plot file and maybe waypoints as
well with a very short description - too easy!
Mind you I might do a write up on this new plot later and for my
Gregory NP file as
well - as time permits.
Cheers.

Hi John
Good to see you doing your bit again for EO,
well done. When you get time, do your
Gregory NP, as like I said before, reading the Trek notes kindles to desire to get out there and see what this great country has on offer and we appreciate the time and effort put in by those that write the Trek notes.
Regards
Stephen

Hi John,
Looks like a good trip.
I've always wanted to go to
Mount Elvire, but have always been concentrating on other things when I have driven past the turn-off. How was that? ...and Lake Seabrook, what did you find there?
I've put a few plots up over the years but am finding it increasingly difficult to put decent sized plots up (of tracks) that haven't been up before.
Was a good read in the latest mag too.
Well done!!
Cheers
Alan

Hi Alan, thks for the kind words.
Lake Seabrook is a bit of a gem - nice trip along the shores which are quite hard; then into
woodlands. The map shows a continuation of the track around the entire headland but it was getting late that afternoon and it was getting harder to pick up so we turned back. I doubt if you'd have any trouble given your recent epics.
You do have to go past a 'no-entry - mining lease'
sign which is easy to miss. There was no evidence of either mining or exploration.
The whole trip was written up in Western 4WDriver winter 2009 edition.
In short the whole thing is just a great 3 day trip - Manning NR is delightful with plenty of ecology changes between mulga,
woodlands, and heaths.
One other EO contributor has a plotfile for the track NE from
Kurrajong Rock - the Yowie track which also looks great.

Time to post it up Dave, heh heh.
Cheers.

Thanks for that, it is one of the track that has been in the plains for a while, just need to find time, but maybe a good one for next
easter.
Cheers

All four of as should meet up one day, and get to know each other personally, it would be good, bit hard at this time of the year, but I'm in Cloverdale every second weekend and
Bruce Rock the other.
We could all plain a trip up there plenty of room..
Cheers
Richard.
