Just checking the Jayco Sterling Outback van before we take it away in a couple of days and discovered that the 'flush button' on the thetford toilet wasnt working. Checked the red fuse marked toilet/pumpin the fuse box and it was ok so phoned our local Jayco service centre for help.

The helpful man there suggested we check the purple fuse in the bottom part of the toilet locker, visible when the lower (holding) tank is removed. No mention of this in the Thetford instruction booklet which came with the van!

The husband was sent to Supercheap auto for purple fuses and a short time later it is all working again.

Thought all you fellow travellers with Thetford toilets in Jayco caravans might be able to use this information in a time of need.

Cheers.
Happy New Year
