GME TX3100 or TX3220

Hi,
I am about to purchase a UHF CB Radio for my Territory to use when we do our Caravan Touring which at the moment and into the foreseeable future only involves Highway Use. I didn't want to go over the top, bells & whistles wise and have basically narrowed it down to two choices. Either the GME TX3100 or the TX3220. Does anybody have any input, opinions etc as to whether either model is better than the other, or maybe if neither are good choices. I have no experience at all with UHF CB Radios other than the occasional use of a mickey-mouse Handheld unit on a couple of trips, so any help or advice would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Merv

Both are good units. If I recall from my Territory, there aren't a lot of places to mount the unit, and maybe the 3420 with the remote head would be more flexible as you could mount the main unit under the dash or passenger seat and then you need a much smaller place for the head unit.

The 3100 maybe a little more flexible for mounting as it is reversible.

Performance wise, its not the radio but the antenna you are buying

Also check out the GME TX3340. It's a much smaller unit with all the controls on the mic. It provides much greater flexibility to mounting the unit. I have one installed in my 100 Series Sahara.
