Pop,

I reckon Orbital are expensive for their limited capacity.

I've used two AGM Batts over the last five years. Lifeline and REMCO. Both 100 amp jobs. Lifeline (USA made and expensive), REMCO (Chinese made and more affordable).

My summary, REMCO leaves Lifeline for dead.

Pop,

I'd strongly suggest you speak to Chris at Battery World, Wantirna.

He's a wonderful, decent young bloke. He did some some work for me five years ago and I've sent a lot of people his way. Everyone has been happy with his work.

Jim.

Jim,

I totally agree with your comments, having owned both Orbital and Remco batteries.

The Orbital is rated at about 55Ah and I killed mine by total discharge a couple of times. I now have a low voltage cut out device included in the fridge circuit.

Another source for the Remco AGM is Whitworths Marine and Leisure.
$339 for a 100Ah.
