Well guy's, it was with much pain that we were FORCED to camp on the river site of the next EO gathering at Berri between xmas and new year, our hosts EO Blaze (Glenn) and Sadie were so nice we just had to stay.
I must report to you all that besides peacful camping, swimming, kayaking, fishing, 4wding, eating, drinking, resting, and the biggest and best 3hr lighhtning show many of us have ever seen on new years eve, there isnt much to do !!!
So load up your families, your campers, water toys and 4wd's, wack your names on the coming list and see you there.

It must also be noted that several regulars on this site are involved with the 4wd challenge each year.
One of these is Glenn who was involved in the photography for a magazine viewed by many on this site.
So while being so stressed out about having to camp here, he obtained a copy and was rivetted to the spot about how it all looked in print.
I think the camera captured the moment well, no guess work needed.

Have just bought a couple of those chairs. Wondered how comfortable they would be. That answers it beautifully, Thanks, Bob.

Hi ya Pesty,

Would loved to have come along but we have a prior arrangement.

Bev and I will be just arriving at Fiordland, New Zealand on the 5th, aboard our chartered "dingy" the Pacific Jewel.

Sometimes you got to rough it and sometimes you don't:-)

Have a good time anyway.

Bill.

Even after the Phantom Flasher posting the above nasty picture. I do agree with him about getting your name down for a great time camped near the water. Plenty of tracks and steep small ledges to try, good swimming and canoeing area. Photography is also good in this area with various parrots, Kites, Hawks, Wrens and even 4 Wege Tails over the Xmas period. Lets hope you put your name down..

Cheers

Hi Steve
Perhaps we can make it an EO water challenge. Glenn's excuse for Easter is he will be away, so he will have no excuses then. At one stage he was bragging about his electric outboard for his kayak. There will be no power points there for him to cheat.

The challenge is on.

Cheers

Glenn
How many are coming with canoes or kayaks? Have you ever done Amazon Creek. The launching spot would only be about 20 minutes from your place and it would be great to take a few there, it is fantastic, what do you say? We can all do four wheel driving any time, but your part of the world is heaven for water activities. If you have not been there, here are a few pictures to tempt you. The day we did it it was 45 C, but because of all the tree cover, it was a very pleasant paddle. I have just checked my Track file and it is just over a 10 kilometre return paddle, so even Steve and Glenda could do it.

Cheers

Stephen

Yep mate, Amazon is a great area to see, I have done it years ago by Canoe and in the last couple of years by Tinny.

Guess we can see when they all arrive and if a group want to do that you could lead them :-)

Not sure how many of those on the list have canoe's but as I said maybe just play it by ear on the day.

Cheers

PS TX for offering to lead a group through that area....
