I've heard it's bad luck to rename boats, do you think the same applies to old bus Motorhomes?
It's just that the previous owner of
mine called it "Cruz'n Round" and that really doesn't suit our style. I'd prefer something like "Great Escape" or "Escape from SYD" but I don't want it to sink......
Or maybe the term 'Bad Luck' is just an excuse for bad maintenance.

Rossco, go ahead and manke the change.
We just ended a game of musical chairs with our personalised rego plates for our vehicles. We sold one and bought a little hatch so it made a lot of sense to swap the plates around too. The changes involved 3 vehicles.
Try explaining the changes to:
Vehicle Licensing Centre
Insurance Companies
Dealership doing the Vehicle
Services.
All the vehicles have a name according to their plates so now we have to get used to calling a different vehicle by the same name the other vehicle had a week ago.
Talk about a head spin.

The red Trayback was GONE BUSH
The gold 200 series was HONEY BUN
We sold the Trayback and bought a little hatch (a Kia Soul, a little beauty).
The Kia is now HONEY BUN and the 200 is GONE BUSH.

hi rossco09
i'm not superstitious so i dont think it matters one iotta what one names something imho and besides it will probably be called a few other things when the moment arises
i think you nailed it when you stated that bad luck is an excuse for lack of maintenance
when one delves into why something broke down on the road
one usually finds that they have avoided to do repairs and or maintenance
for varying reasons including oh
well i thought it would last etc etc or we'd get this trip in and then we'd quit it for something better but
big bad murphys law does'nt work like that as we find through experience
cheers have a good one
