Been hearing this more and more, people referring to their 4wd as a 'Truck' !
Hear a lot of landcruiser & patrol owners do this but was talking to someone today who said he was 'going to get something from the truck' & he went over to his nissan xtrail .
Do 4wds fall into this category ?

Mate, you will put the
forum into overload. In the past week the diesel/petrol debate, waeco/engel, Ayer's
Rock climing. Can't keep up, now the truck debate!
These things need to be spread out a bit across the year :)
Cruiser for me, but who cares what people call them really.

Do you call your patrol or cruiser a truck or 4wd???????????????????
That will be something that has not been discussed on here for at least a week!
I'm going to go through all the posts as a matter of bordness and count how many times this topic has come up.
:-)

Interestingly I recently updated the insurance and thought I would compare so got some other quotes.
Was having trouble locating my HZJ75 on their database and eventually found it listed as a truck.
here it is pasted from the NRMA the organisation we like to believe tells us the way it is.
Please select your car
Toyota Landcruiser Truck, 1992, 4.2LD
Toyota Landcruiser Truck, 1992, DUALCAB MO HZJ80 4.2LD
Toyota Landcruiser Truck, 1992, HZJ75 4.2LD
Go figure.

I have 3 cruisers that are 4wd's that are registered as a bus, I call them trucks, I have 2 buses that I need a truck license for and I call them trucks to, so now I am confused. LOL
I wish some people would do a
search, just to see how bored we get with this rubbish, but then again we can't go off topic so the same rubbish will just circulate over and over and over and over.
Cheers Steve.

I can understand your confusion! Perhaps you could start a new thread so the helpful folk on EO can help you decide what to call each vehicle :-)
