I am looking for absolute beachfront holiday accommodation this coming xmas hols between
Bargara Qld to Yamba NSW. Does anyone know of any right on
the beach? Happy with homes or cabins. Needs to accommodate 2 large families. Anyone have any ideas?

There are heaps of units/ houses at
Bargara.
Try realestate.com.au and look for holiday rentals or try a real estate agent search in a town that tickles your fancy.
Cheers

I think I may be unlucky in my search. What caravan parks have cabins directly facing
the beach? It's good research anyway for the future.

Blue Dolphin Resort has absolute River Front Cabins in
Yaamba. There is a small "beach" on the river bank where the kids will love playing around safely. They also have heaps of other kids stuff going on. It is a real family friendly caravan park, we have been staying there each xmas for many a year. Very Busy at that time of year as you can expect but still very safe.
Cheers, Trevor.

There'd be a few spots on the Sunshine coast - try wotif, choose Sunshine coast and click on map view to drill down on beachfront spots. (I know there's one in Peregian which has direct access to
the beach but as with most of that area there is a buffer zone so you may not have
views from cabin/room to the water)
Depending on your definition of absolute beachfront there's a few
places in northern nsw as
well.
