Steve
Would I be ok towing a van along the coast road via Cape Conran? The van is a soft roader/dirt roader with decent clearance and weighs around 1800/1900kgs loaded.
Looking to
camp at Corringle slips, Bemm River and onto
Mallacoota and up the coast over a couple of weeks. I like my bush camps/seclusion etc but two teen boys are looking for a bit of action so we're trying to mix it a bit.
I've promised them there's a rave of a
general store in
Genoa.

Hi Steve,
Closest road to coast from Cape Conran through to Bemm River not open. Closed as part of Coastal
Park. You can use Old Coast Rd a few km's further inland. Was open a few weeks back, but would be worth checking with parks/dse as area affected by Dock inlet fire a couple of months back. No problem to go back to Princes hwy from Conran anyway along sealed Rd. Then come in via Sydenham inlet rd. With a large van would do this anyway. Shipwreck
Creek site SW
Mallacoota may be open now but again check as this whole area back to West Wingan Rd has been closed due to more recent fires.
You may not get your seclusion further east and have to stay in town sites as bush sites fire affected, boys happy though.
Have a good one.

sorry guys - been working
No, I'm not familiar with the area
....wasn't aware of the fires. Thanks for that - yep, the boys will be happy to be nearer "civilization" (unless I come up with another plan :-))
