Just returned from the Mann river. What a great place approx. 65kms west of
Grafton.(Pity about the rain all long weekend!)
If u are heading north from
Sydney or
Melbourne, allow a few extra days to relax at this great spot.
If u are travelling up the
New England highway turn right at Glen Innes & head towards
Grafton.
If anyone is interested in this area contact me & i will provide exact details

Vince.
Always interested in new spots to go (bush?) camping.
regards. This 4WD stuff is addictive,
time consuming & expensive.

Hi Wim
The whole area is a great place for
bush camping. Plenty of water , flies etc. but best of all, NO COSTS.
A great familt destination & only 300 ks from
home

Vince.
Further to my last post.
Is the area you speak of between the Gwyder Hwy &
the junction of the Clarence river?
If not do you have GPS co-ords?

Wim.
The
camp spot is not on the Clarerence. It is approx 3kms off the Gwdir Highway at
Cangai. The Mann river flows north from this point & eventually joins the Clarence. The Clarence then flows south through
Grafton. If u have a copy ofDiscover Aust 4wd by Ron Moon it is on page 119. Sorry no GPS readings(battery ran out!)
If u can get a copy of
Coffs Harbour State Forest map ,it will show the area in much better detail.
Even with all the rain last weekend, the Mann was crystal clear!
