The main road north of Walhallia, up to the Thompson
Dam, was closed after fires a couple of years back because of a
bridge destroyed by the fire. Has this road been reopened? There was always a ford option to cross here that went under the
bridge. It's quite a while since I have been in that area. I think the river is the Aberfeldy.
I want to do Flats track near O'Tooles and then go down this road to do some of the
Deep Creek Tracks.
What are some other interesting tracks in this area?

Twinkles, it is open, but much quicker to get to if you go over the Thompson
Dam wall.
The Water wheel off Morningstar track is a must, it is a long walk in though (3km?) Morningstar is not a bad track in it's self near the top.
Get a Rooftop map which has th elocatios of old mines etc.

Thanks. We plan to go in via the wall, but back to
Deep Creek Tracks the other way. They are just north of
Walhalla. I've been along Morning Star Track.
