Hi everyone,
Time for me to pop up and ask for a bit of help.
Taking a trip down this way and would appreciate any local or recent info on whether the Yarramunmun trail is accessible.
Tried calling NPWS - "we don't manage that trail and I'm not sure of status" and Shoalhaven Council "hold music hell"
It has been gated / locked / not locked so update appreciated. If reporting that it's locked, then do nominate your favourite nearby track to ease my pain ;-)
If nothing conclusive, will report back next week on what I find.
Thanks.

Hi - we went down to Yalwal about 2 or 3 years back and had no problems with access but i am not sure if we were on the Yarramunmun trail or some other one without maybe seeing a map. There are some good tracks I still want to do around
Canberra ACT if you go further south.
Just remembered after typing all that i had the book 4WD Tracks Close To
Sydney so looked it up I am pretty sure we were on the Yarramunmun Trail and dont remember and closed/locked gates back then. Have fun....

G'day, Yarramunmum is open at the moment, but with the rain i suggest it will be a very tricky run, lots of bog holes, best left until dries out a little, ie a week or two without any rain.
cheers aaron

In the end didn't get to Yarramunmun, but friends from the ACT remained, so may have looked at it.
Found a great route from Kings Highway down to Araluen Road via the Morton which I was pleased to confirm.
In spite of rain, tracks had run off and some seemed positively dry and dusty. Dry
Creek was full and flowing, but not overflowing or raging. The crossing there is also (temporarily) closed to traffic due to flood erosion.
Cheers.
