Inquiring as to the amount of access to beach or beach side camping areas in this stretch. Have read on recent threads of some places but are there plenty even if you have to pay. Also do the areas that are national parks or similar allow camping and is booking ahead necessary.

Depends when you are going so if you say we will have a better idea.

Buy CAMPS 5 for free camps nationwide.

There are camping spots all the way up the coast whether they are free or not you could do a bit more research on NP sites and find out.

Down the Coast towards Yardie Creek at Exmouth, lots of spots but frequently busy.
Station stays in some places

Have a look through the "ARTICLES" on here Lots of info there also in the blogs section

Hi wafarmer
Judging by your member name you live in wa somewhere and are possibly a farmer? Myself I live in nsw and am a farmer. Part of the reason for my trip is to have a look around at the coastal towns in this area to try and judge what permanent life over there would be like. I dont want to pry into your personal details but any info on above would be appreciated and any places to cross straight off the list and why also. cheers!

Hi Mark,

Retired farmer from the eastern wheatbelt who likes fishing and the warmer climate.

If you like fishing you will find a few along the coast.

Are you coming from the north or south up or down the WA coast.

I live in Kalbarri a small town on the midwest coast north of Geraldton.

no facilities except 44 gal garbage bins
unless things have improved recently :)

Looks like could be a good fishing spot as well. whats the odds of a bloke with some fishing experience getting a feed around there?

We had no problems, there is a river entering the ocean just walking distance away to the south, we had crab nets set in the ocean and caught fish in the river mouth. The tinny we used was very small, a rooftop model, so we stayed in close.
