Gday All,
After our trip at the beginning of April to
Cameron Corner being underwater I am revising my route. I still want to travel from FNQ down along the Kennedy Developmental road. I have read up on road from all the archived
forum topics and tried to look for road conditions within the section on this site and QLD Main Roads site with no luck. Can any locals let me know of its current condition eg Underwater? Thanks in advance,
Matt

The article that is attached to your thread has road conditions as
well.
There is satellite imagery contained in the road conditions as
well to assit in determining what section of that road is being referred to, which I think is a great idea.
Cheers Kev

Winton to
Hughenden is all bitumen and right now no problem ,
Hughenden to
Muttaburra all dirt and currently still 4wd only , waiting to see which way the cyclone tracks once it becomes a rain depression overland. The RACQ site though good is often 24/48 hrs behind , the dirt roads can change from being good to being impassable in the space of an hrs rain.

Hi Matt
I travelled Kennedy Devel Rd, Mt Garnet to
Hughenden yesterday and it is good. Part bitumen/dirt between the Lynd and
Hughenden (Hann Highway)Road was closed about 3 weeks ago for 1 day due to high river levels but they recede very quickly. Road crews have been repairing the dirt sections for about 150ks south from the Oasis. Wet season is nearly over so you shouldn't have a problem in April in the nothern section anyway. We have found 131940.qld.gov.au website as the best as it tells you when any road in particular was last reviewed and at what time. Racq sometimes show roads closed even though the situation has changed days before. We dont waste time even looking at it anymore. Have a good trip Cheers, Dave
