Hi
We are heading to
Longreach around the end of april in the caravan driving through
Hay Hillston Bourke and we are looking for good camping
places between
Hillston and
Longreach for overnight stops.
Regards Ron

Ron, when you get to
Longreach, there is a good
free camp 5k north of
Longreach off to the right off the highway, at the
Longreach Fishing and aquatic club. Gets busy, but right on the river.
Check it out before setting up
camp in town. Basic facilities but very good. Entrance is via what looks like a council gravel quarry.
Fred.

Ron
Travelled similar route last year, presume leaving
Hillston you will be going through
Cobar.
Approx 40-45ks south west of
Bourke on the right is a truck stop with a large area at the back suitable for an overnight stay,
Kidman Way resort at
Bourke,
Wyandra at the back of the school, on the banks of the barcoo river at
Tambo,
Lloyd Jones Weir south west of
Barcaldine and at
Longreach the
Longreach Waterhole some 5 ks north of town.
Have a good trip, we did.
Cheers
Baz
