There was a post on here a while ago that said the
Blyth Homestead track was closed so perhaps a call to the rangers would be the go.

As Graham says, there was a track.
When we were there in late 2008, it was closed.
Went to both
Lost City and Blythe
homestead, had to back track to the main road in the national park to get between them.

I spent the second half of last year at a school 10km past
Wangi Falls. I spoke to the rangers about this track. It has been closed for a few years and thoroughly grown over. I did the trip through to
Daly River via Blythe
Homestead and
the Lost City a number of times. I could see no evidence of the old track.

We were there in 02 and it was closed then so it would very really grown over by now. That track down to the south is a good drive with plenty of "magnetic"
termite mounds.

Twinkles, what do you mean by "a school 10kms past
Wangi Falls." I was last there in 1978 (left
Darwin 21yrs ago) and the whole region was all still virgin jungle... was gone wrong?

There are some beautiful falls and swimming holes off this track also.
There is a state primary school and Woolaning Homeland Christian College past
Wangi Falls. The bitumen road runs out a few k's after these schools on it's way to the Cox Peninsula road. I was at Woolaning HCC. The students are indigenous and live on site in homes with 'house parents'. They go
home for holidays. They attend school every day while on site. The students are aged 12 to 17, but had very little schooling before they start there.

Yeah it's closed, pity it used to be a "fun" drive, vehicle damage was quite likely! Glad I did it whule it was still open!
