I looking for locations of hot thermal springs in Queensland. Know about "Innot Hot springs" and of course Moree (not Queensland) but none others.
Any information or sources (web references), accessibility and condition much appreciated.

Carl,
There is some info
here
I just searched the
forum for "hot springs" (using inverted commas) since the start of 2008 and came up with 3 pages of hits.
The water in
Lawn Hill gorge is warm, more so as you head up
the gorge. I think there are artesian pools at
Roma and
Mitchell.
Cheers,
Val

If I remember correctly there are some just to the west of Mt Surprise, can't remember the name and I don't have a map in front of me in Arizona.

On a private station they are with tourists welcome.
They have built a swimming
pool and channeled one of
the springs into
the pool.
There is of couse Innot Hot Springs north of Mt Surprise. The spring is in the creek bed. You dig a hole in the sand on the edge of the creek water and it fills with hot spring water. You can have half your body in hot water and your feet in cold creek water.

Aaah, the memories ;-))
The property to the west of
Mount Surprise, on the
Einasleigh River, where the hot springs are located, is Tallaroo Station...
I was employed there as a ringer circa 1965-6.... no tourist facilities there then, that came quite a bit later...
I'm given to understand that the current owners had suspended the tourist operation a few years back...
The place is currently on the market, it would seem >>
Tallaroo

Mitchell and
Winton have
pool complexes. Plenty of hot bores in fact most would seriously burn you.
There is a large
pool in a
bore drain at a distance from the head to allow cooling halfway between
Birdsville and
Bedourie. Must be lots of these around.

Lightning Ridge has a flash (2000 bicentennial money)
pool replacing its years old muddy edge
pool. It was great except we went in summer. 42 degrees outside and too hot in
the pool. The Ridge is a great place to visit.

Mitchell has a flash complex in town with Artesian
Bore pools. Kept around 37°C, very relaxing!
