the best solar panels in perth ???

hi thanks to everyone who replied to my last post much appreciated.we just have to upgrade our solar set up on our van then we can get going.we have a 60watt panel on the roof and a 100amp hour battery but i dont think this will be enough to run our 110L waeco as well as our lights which we will be changing to leds (i have ordered led globes from ebay) and maybe our 12volt telly on a rainy day. so if anyone has any ideas of whom to see that has experience and isnt going to rip us off that would be awesome

Only using solar power - no vehicle etc charging?

If so, 60W of panels will not supply a 30W (constant) load.
20W maybe if the days are sunny etc.

It depends on where you are, how much sun, direct or angled sun etc.
Then the load averaged over a 24 hour period etc....

It sounds too small to me, but I'm not that familiar with the Waeco requirements.

I was tempted recently with 100W of (monocrystaline) panels for under $500 ($430??) supplied as 3 panels... (Oatley Electronics in Sydney.) I got their previous 5x20W panels with regulator for $700.

young nomads,
Just had a thought, how will you know the "best solar panels" ?

If your told 'xyz' brand is "best" for you, how will you know if that is in fact true or it's the solar panel the guy has in stock and wants to quit ?

You can be sure of one thing, the most popular panel is not the "best" but the most economical panel, look at most questions and replies, you will soon see price is more important than quality, everyone asks for the 'cheapest' etc, not too many ask for the best quality
