Kakadu - Yellow Water Boat Cruise - Morning or dusk?

I have one more question regarding Kakadu. It seems that the yellow water Boat cruises are supposed to be good in the morning and in the evening, the morning ones seem to be more expensive, does it mean that the morning ones are better? I would love to do both, but my budget is limited, so my question is, which is better?
Thanks

morning by far, afternoon cruise can be a bit warm. Early cruise you see the sun come up and the wildlife waking. I have been twice and a third time in the next month or two all in the morning, just go fishing in the arvo.

Hi LER

We took one during the day; it was probably the 11 am one. When we arrived I went to see about booking and was told there were vacancies on one about to leave. The light was good for photographing the wildlife.

We took the last cruise of the day back in 2001. Brilliant with the setting sun through the paperbarks as you came in. Still remember it as if it was yesterday and I've seen a lot of sunsets around this country since then. Will be taking a couple of our grand kids on it in 8 weeks time.

I would definately go as early as possible. The place is just magic in the early morning. I have posted some photos of my fishing club on an outing in Yellow Waters.

The crocs as so accustomed to boats there they cruise by very close and then linger for good photos. We would carry a length of bamboo to smack them on the nose if they got too close.

We have done both at different times, did the sunset first and thought that it could not get any better, then did the sunrise 2 years later and it was magic, but I would hate to say which was better, but on both occaisions we had great weather and conditions. the morning cruise is dearer because they supply a really good all you can eat breakfast.
What ever you choose you won't be disappointed.

Greg
