Had to put a new radiator in the Prado recently, my mechanic had the job done in 2 days as you would expect but it took a week to get a radiator cap to
Adelaide from
Sydney! And if I wanted a genuine one it had to come from Japan!
Goodness knows what would of happened if I need a fan belt!
Is it just the end of the financial year or have spare parts had a big run out sale?
BTW $35 for a cap

Hi. Your local Repco
shop keeps one for about $15.

Hi Alcoz,
It is surprising just what spares Repco have for toyota vehicles, Especially landcruisers.
I needed a new radiator for my previous 80 series petrol cruiser and there was one on the shelf in my local store, Port Macquarie 500 k from
Sydney, a couple of years back. No doubt there is one there now or at least it will only be a day or two away. Head lights for the 80 cruiser $38 dollars the pair, 4 required.
Try Repco first as you may be surprised.
Cheers, Bruce.
