Hi, a year or so back I purchased a chinese sat nav that came with a reversing camera. The Sat Nav is great, but the reversing camera image quality is poor, especially at night. Can anyone recommend a good one (flush mount) that has a quality build and image which I can wire into my current system. I prefer to buy online. Thanks alot.
Will.

None are much good at night Even video cameras are crap in the dark.
The only way is to get a dirty great driving light facing rearwards.
Look on Ebay for a seller 95soarer I have bought off him several times and his prices and service are good.

I have two of his "minicams" and the image is good enough.
I never back at night relying on a camera. Thats what wives are for. LOL
I now have one of these on the rear of the van

Hi Willy,
I have one fitted to my cruiser which I fitted and I find it quite OK. It is infrared and lights up
well even in total darkness. It is very good in daylight except when the sun is shining straight into it, then it is a little difficult to see clearly.
Mine is a 1 inch unit which is flush mounted into my tailgate. Unit comes with a couple of tapered wedge shaped spacers fro setting it at an angle if required.
The unit has the usual video lead out the back which has the same plug set up as found on the back of your DVD player. It also has a positive 12 volt and negative lead. Whole unit is about 60mm long, roughly, and I have had mine for about 5 years now and it has worked faultlessly.
I got mine from Ebay and the seller was 95 Soarer. He is one of the cheapest and his service is good. I have no connection with this seller other than being a satisfied customer.
This is just my experience.
Regards, Bruce.

I can recommend David Brash at
Brash Imports.
I have purchased a couple of items from David and was happy with the service.
He has several different camera options to choose from.
I have recently bought a licence plate camera which has Infra red lamps around the camera to improve night vision.
Night vision however on any infra red camera, will be in black and white rather than a colour image you get in daylight.
Bill.
