The track goes across a variety of terrain. You will get firewood in some areas and not others.

If you are travelling north from mt Dare there is plenty of trees around the border areas. Also plenty of bulldust.

Yep,

Collect firewood north past the border gate on the Old Andado track, along the Finke river floodout & around Mayfield Swamp, when you get close to Andado Station there is not much firewood about.

The caretakers at Old Andado should have supplies of wood for the donkey, but it doesn't hurt to take your own.
