It seems my previous thread has been deleted....

I am currently considering selling my above vehicle as I don't have the time to use it for what it is built for and also am trying to buy a house. Just wondering what the going price would be..

Specs: 230000kms
Brand new tyres about 2 weeks old ( BF Goodrich all terrains)- also have old tyres with tread on them
Fitted a new alternator less than 2 months ago
New fuel pump 1 year ago approx ( common problem of 1 'O' ring leaking-0 but decided to replace the whole unit.
3" ?bo desert exhaust
compressor in engine bay
rear engel plug
UHF CB radio
Snorkel
Rear tyre swing (currently off the vehicle)
Dual batteries- both batteries less than 2 years old
Rego till Oct 2010
Regularly serviced
Vehicle has been used to tow a small campervan by previous owner, no caravan towing.

Problems- the only issue that I am currently having with the vehicle is charging. I think there is a problem with the battery isolator, due to get it checked out when I'm off work.

Anyway, at the moment I am only considering selling the vehicle but if anyone has any ideas on price ranges I would be grateful. Thanks

ahh my previous thread was deleted by the moderators. Just to be clear this is not a for sale ad. This is a question to members on how much they think this type of vehicle is worth. If I do decide to sell the vehicle I will place a add in the Trader section. Thanks

Depending on condition and appearence $16,000 and up, if it has a fully service history, no damage and the right buyer.

Post the same question over on the LCOOL site.

Cheers

Just thought the pictures would help in the valuation that all, I agree with the above, $16000 and up, there was a multi valve turbo 96 for sale sometime ago on the Sunshine Coast for just over 30 grand, it had only done 150kms though from memory, good condition obviously.

Head over to carsales.com.au and have a look at how much other people are asking for them- this will give you an idea. They are also advertised on 4WD boards which will give you an indication of the price of them with various levels of accessories. Depending on the condition and what they come with, they're usually around 20-something thousand as a ball park figure, but it really depends on the vehicle. I wouldn't be surprised if this thread gets deleted too... it's not really the place for it!

Hi Megs
There was a 97 multi valve up for sale in my area Nth suburbs Sydney last month. it lived near me and i always wanted it.
It was an auto 190000klm old man emu suspension, same colour as my 80
Old codger owner ,And the other fruit to go bush
Very good condition.
He had $26k ono, on it
And i would have had no hesitation paying that for it.but alas timing wrong for me this time.
I don't think it lasted long as it is gone.

Rob

I would have thought maybe low to mid twenties.
I had a 92 TD that I sold a year ago for $16K. It had 335,000km and was in good nick.
Unfortunately, you can expect a lot of calls from people that want a TD but can only afford a petrol. Don't let them wear you down. Someone that appreciates the vehicle will pay what its worth.
I still think the multi valve 80 series is one of the best 4WD ever made

Red book value $10,700 - $13,300, real life vehicle value around $28k. realistically you will get 20 - 25. In your current position, I would put it up for 26 - 28 reasonable offers considered, at least you will get a feel for the market, or you just might get a buyer at an excellent price.
I would not let it go for under $23k
You have a great vehicle with a great combination of extras, regardless as to what people may say it is low kms.
