G'day Garny

Suggest you get a copy of Camps 5 which lists free / budget camping locations across Australia. Edition with photos about $80 ... edition no photos about $55

When you do get camps 5, some spots I can reccommend are Woorlba Homestead (spot 20 in WA) and Jillah Rockhole (spot 7 in WA). Both have lots of room and trees and Jillah Rockhole has drop loos near the road but you can get right off the road in both these spots.

We travelled through tere last year, we found many good stops to camp for free. The only problem was that most places are covered with other peoples rubbish. A few idoits spoil it for the rest of the travellers.

Definitely true !

There are heaps of places to get well off the road, as said the Camps book is a good start.
and try to be off the road by around 3-30pm.

We went across the Nullarbour in April this year, there are many places to camp for free some with toilets. But be aware that all of the Roadhouses etc have caravan/camping grounds for $18-22 per night unpowered/powered and that includes use of showers and toilets etc. Not much to pay for use of the facility.
