Wreckers seem to have an unrealistic idea of wheel prices, based on the price from Nissan, etc. Good luck to them if they can get it. Tyre dealers always seem to have them at more market-prices. I've paid $30 for new split rims in the past, coz that's all they're worth. A wrecker wanted $200 for the same rim.

yeah.. I buckled one a few months ago, the cost of a new rim was rediculous!
I picked one up from the back of a Patrol that was parked without a keylock fitted! And I got a new tyre on it too!
(only joking!) I paid $100 for a Patrol unit from a roll-over. The wrecker had a better understanding of the actual prices.. That and he had them for 4 months without sale.

Rob,
Thanks for the info. Where are Tempe tyres located?
I'm in South Oz, and I would echo other replies re trying to get a reasonably priced 2nd spare rim.
