Yes, there is a couple of shower cubicles. I’ll see if it’s in one of my photos.

Hot water from a donkey boiler. Make sure that you have a good look around Molly's home - its open to people to go in, with an honesty box for camp fees.

Hi Kevin
It all depends on how quick you want to get there. The quickest is all the way down the black top to Kulgera, then out to Finke, then to New Crown Homestead then Old Andado.

The better way is the longest and head out past the Alice Springs Airport and follow the signs to Santa Terese and south to Old Andado from there. Great scenery and very interesting drive and one that we never get sick of driving, as it always seems different. If you come in that way, make sure that you take to detour to the Mac Clark Reserve.

Cheers

Stephen

Hi Bombora
We were there early June. We came in from Mt Dare and out through Finke, on our way to the Finke Desert Race. Old Andado was an amazing sight as it was surrounded by water - my pic does not do justice to the surprise we got as we came in over the last sandhill and saw the homested.
Despite the water, all roads in the area were dry. We did not use the shower block, but it was very clean and presentable.Image Could Not Be Found
Old Andado was one of our most unique and enjoyable experiences in all of outback Oz.

Great spot to explore BUT Have had some of the worst mozzie problems encountered anywhere. Don't seem to always be there however. Take good moz protection to be on safe side.

How was the track from Old Andado to Mt Dare through the swamp?

When I went through last year the bulldust was a deep as I had ever seen, it must be a hell of a bog with water like that around the place?

John and Wilco
We took a caravan in, no probs. Roads are all good, some corrugations, but not bad. There is a campground at the station, but we did not stay there on the day because there was a cold wind blowing across the water, so we went north about 20k and camped in the dunes near the cons. park. Cheers Dalb.
